Privacy policy

Connectly helps adults meet people nearby. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Connectly is run by Sooraj Planku Veedu, Gutzkowstraße 3, 10827 Berlin, Germany (the controller under the GDPR). Contact: info@skillkraft.ai.
What we collect
- Sign-in details: the email address or phone number from Google, Apple or SMS sign-in.
- Your profile: first name, age, gender, what you are looking for, who you would like to meet, interests, your photo and optional pronouns.
- Approximate location: rounded to about 100 metres and your neighbourhood name, only while you use the app. We never show your position to others, only an estimated walking time.
- Activity: when you go open, invites, plans you join, chat messages, reports and blocks.
- Technical data: IP address and app version, needed to deliver the service and keep it secure.
Sensitive information
Your dating preferences may reveal your sexual orientation. We process this only because you choose to share it, based on your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can change or remove it any time, or delete your account.
Why we use it
- To run the app: show you to people nearby while you are open, deliver invites and chats (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep people safe: review reports, block abuse and enforce our terms (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To fix problems and improve the app using aggregated, non-identifying statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who else handles it
Our data lives on Google Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication (Google Ireland Ltd.). App updates are delivered by Expo (650 Industries, USA) and test builds by Apple TestFlight. Where data leaves the EU, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply. Other users only see your public profile while you are open, and the chat you share with them.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. Chats close 24 hours after your plan. When you delete your account, your profile, photo, invites and chats are deleted at once; reports about abuse may be kept for up to 12 months for safety reasons.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Delete your account in the app under Me → Delete account, or email us. You may also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
Age
Connectly is only for people aged 18 and over. We delete accounts we learn belong to anyone younger.
